It’s becoming clear that the Nemtsov murder will never be solved. At least not as long as the current regime is in power.
In light of this, Slava Rabinovich has called for an international commission to investigate.
In Russia there is an urgent need to create a public-forensic legal commission, which would appeal for help from Western countries for assistance to investigate the assassination, and continue to create an international public forensic legal commission. I would like to see as part of the commission of professional and community leaders from the following countries:
- Great Britain
And even from other countries, if possible.
This committee must (1) require full access to the ongoing investigation, and (2) start their own independent investigation.
I think that professionals such as criminologists from Israel, or specialists from the US Bureau of Alchohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF), or professionals from MI5 — all of them will be able to solve this crime in one week.
Rabinovich goes on to say that the group must be international because if it only consists of Russians, they will all be killed.
It is also necessary to include the ECHR [European Court of Human Rights]. Boris Nemtsov’s rights have been violated — most importantly, the right to life. Including the ECHR, in parallel with the Commission, will give even more weight.
